Kindergarten- through 5th-grade students have the opportunity for biannual hands-on fine arts opportunities, courtesy of Minneapolis Institute of Arts' program, Art Adventure. Parent volunteers have the opportunity to walk students through a series of pieces, themed seasonally, that cover everything from art history to media to cultural significance. Learn more at Minneapolis Institute of Art's website.
Students in early grades learn within the classroom environment, and art projects are a weekly, if not daily, occurrence. Once kids graduate into the Middle School program, art class becomes an elective, with more dedicated instruction, chapters, themes and topics. More about the school's Middle School art program, as well as access to kiln pottery studio, coming soon!
