I continue to hear questions regarding masks, and as we get closer to our return to school, I wanted to address our current policy again. I want to emphasize that our primary goal is keeping our children safe and engaged in in-person learning this year. As stated previously, we believe parents are best equipped to make these choices regarding masks. We know things change daily and weekly, and we are monitoring the pandemic as it affects our school community and the community at large. We have solid mitigation strategies in the school, including the health screen questionnaire before students, visitors and staff enter the school. Please save the following link to your phone, email, or computer for quick access to the health screen questionnaire.
I know from last year's experience that the measures we put in place helped keep our COVID-19 numbers to a minimum. At Saint John's (in both the parish and school), as we roll back some of these protocols, we ask that all approach the pandemic, considering not only the health and safety of themselves and their children, but also those who are vulnerable or might have vulnerable family members at home. If you or your child are not or cannot be vaccinated, please strongly consider wearing masks. We will have some Saint John's masks for sale at Back to School Night, if you're interested.
