Catholic Schools Week is always a festive one here at Saint John's. This year we celebrate January 23-28. Read on to see how you can get involved!
CSW Mass & Open House Sunday, January 23, is the official kick-off, which intentionally coincides with Saint John's Pancake Breakfast (8:00 AM-12:00 PM) and Discipleship Sunday (9:30-10:30 AM). The highlight, of course, is 10:30 AM Mass, at which Principal Hurley speaks and students get involved. After Mass, the principal is offering tours of the school, and each classroom will be open. The third-graders historically offer their Wax Museum performances, there are often musical selections and much art- and STEM-work on display.
Community Events (Open to All!) John Kriesel: Still Standing - Join us for a rivoting talk from former Minnesota representative and Iraq War veteran, John Kriesel. Save the date of 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 25.
Parents Hockey Night: Dads/Teachers vs. Students - The Little Canada Fire Barn again welcomes us from 6:00 to 8:30 PM Wednesday, January 26. Our hockey athletes take on Principal Hurley and any parents brave enough to take the ice. A more relaxed skate takes place on the back rink. Hot chocolate will be served!
Theme Days & Field Trips Student Council helps plan the entire themed week. Stay tuned for a full calendar, coming soon!
