We are doing it! Together, our school has been open for in-person learning for 27 days, and we are still going strong! View and share the Saint John's online virtual school tour

Through reflection during the MEA break, this is what I have found. Teachers want to be with their students. Students want to be in school. Parents want their students in school learning along with their classmates. I also know that we need to do a better job recognizing the role that teachers and staff are playing during this pandemic. We need to recognize that they are professionals who are also leading their own lives amidst this pandemic. I know that I certainly fall short of letting our teachers know how much I appreciate them. Please join me in offering support and gratitude to the Saint John's staff through positive emails, notes sent to school, or even small gifts if you are able. We cannot thank them enough!
UNITY DAY: Wednesday, October 21, 2020. We invite students to wear an orange shirt (along with uniform pants or skirts) on this day, to show that we stand together against bullying, and are united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Take a look inside Saint John's … We will begin accepting applications for the 2021-2022 academic school year in November 2020. We are working in the right direction with adding new families to our school, however we are also experiencing wait lists in many classes and expect classes for the next school year to fill quickly. More information to come on admissions and enrollment as TADS completes our set up, until then, please share the great experience you are having at our school with friends, neighbors, and your community.

COVID-19: As always, if your child is sick, please keep them home and communicate with the front office and teachers when your child will be out of school for illness. The student will be provided make-up homework, not distance learning.
Students or family members who are experiencing COVID-like symptoms, please click
COVID-19 Attendance Guide for Parents and Families.
In addition, please email
Karla Shultz and call
651-484-3038 where we will go over our protocol
decision tree, in detail. If we decide your student(s), will be out of school for an extended time, we will provide live instruction virtually during the regular school hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT INFO AND CALENDAR:
SCHOOL LUNCH: Our Saint John's school menu is posted on our website and is not necessarily the same as Roseville's hot lunch menu, as we may make minor changes. Please use the following link to see what is for lunch daily:
https://school.sjolc.org/hot-lunch-program
UNIFORM REMINDER: As a reminder, non-uniform passes are NOT allowed on Wednesdays due to the students attending Mass.
LOST & FOUND: Has your child lost a sweater? hat? lunch box? coat? This is a sample of what is currently in the school’s Lost and Found. Items that are found are placed in the “Lost and Found” bin located in the cafeteria.
Please label your child’s belongings — it is the best way to be sure the items are returned quickly. However, if your child has lost something this year, please have them check the bin as soon as possible.
SAINT JOHN'S MASK SALE: Masks are for sale in the main office for $4.00. We have children and adult masks available. Show your Eagle pride while masking up around Minnesota!
HALLOWEEN PARTY: Halloween party Information
HERE Halloween is always a fun day at Saint John's. Students in PreK-5 should wear their costumes to school on October 30, when they arrive in the morning. Please make sure that the costumes are simple. Students should be able to put on and take off their costumes for bathroom breaks during the day. Also, please help your child to make safe choices about his/her costume: no weapons or inappropriate dress, please choose a costume that is sensitive to the needs of all our students. Of course, students will also be wearing their face-covering masks, so please also keep this in mind when choosing their costume.
Middle School Students, please email your teacher regarding Halloween costumes.
