The Halloween Party is just a week away. Has your student signed up for the costume or pumpkin-carving contest? Got all those tricks and treats?
Here's a bullet point list of what to expect next week. Keep these following dates and times in mind.
Wednesday October 27: Last day for turning in costume (gr 1-7) and pumpkin-carving contest (gr K-7) slips
Costume contest groups will be limited to classes that are going to the same party (1-3 and 4-7), so a third-grader can’t be in a group with a fourth-grader ... they won’t be together for the judging. Teachers are the judges; winners will be announced at the end of the school day (or Monday if we run out of time).
Friday, October 29: Before 9:00 A.M.: Kids should deliver their carved pumpkins to the gym
9:30-10:30 A.M.: Kindergarten & Preschool Party (in the gym)
10:30-11:30 A.M.: First- through Third-grade Party (in the gym)
1:30-2:30 P.M.: Fourth- through Seventh-grade Party (in the gym)
Preschoolers and kindergarteners should pre-pay $5 so they don’t have to deal with money at the party. (Send in a marked envelope to your teacher.) Popcorn and a drink are included in this cost. Older kids should also come with a marked money envelope/ziploc to the gym that day, but in general, follow your individual teacher's instructions here.
