Dear Saint John’s Families,
As you may have heard, the Wisconsin Governor has closed all public and private K-12 schools for three weeks. This action could be an indicator for the next steps in the school districts of Minnesota, but that has not been determined to be the course of action yet.
While there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Roseville School District or Saint John’s School of Little Canada at this time, the Roseville Public School District has canceled school for Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, with the intention of giving staff and administration time to plan in the event of long-term closures of schools due to the COVID-19 virus (please click here for Roseville’s letter). I have also been in Contact with Fr. Tom and the Director for the Mission of Catholic Education at the Archdiocese regarding the decision and they support the plan.
Saint John’s will follow suit for planning purposes and be closed Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17. Eagle Club will also be closed on Monday and Tuesday. I apologize for any hardship this may cause you and your families.
In addition, after considering all options and new information regarding Roseville’s closure, ALL school events for the week of March 16-20 will be canceled.
The information that I am receiving is ever-changing, and I will update you as much as I am able.
Please continue to hold those who are suffering from this virus and other illnesses in your prayers. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together during these unusual circumstances.
Thank you,
