We have been able to continue to learn in-person and provide strong academics to all students. Our continuing ability to maintain in-person learning will require all in our community to help control the spread of the virus. Our contact tracing, for the positive cases we have here and potential virus spread, primarily continues to point to gatherings outside our school day. I am asking that we all recommit to preventing the spread. It is absolutely essential that we all work together to maintain social distancing and mask wearing, both on and off campus. With so much COVID spread in our city and state, it is also important that we do not gather in small or large groups outside of school or our households. Please continue to follow the latest guidelines from the state of Minnesota. Thank you for your willingness to make these sacrifices to keep our students safe and for the goal of remaining in-person. You will be receiving a survey, in the near future, regarding Thanksgiving break from your homeroom teacher. Please have this completed no later than Thursday, 11-19-20.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Saint John's registration window will open this week. We are excited for the future as we have seen an enrollment increase of 33% in grades K-8!
VIP Families can enroll early to hold their spot and save money!: We are fortunate to be a school that is experiencing enrollment growth. Due to this, we have a number of classes with waiting lists and expect that to continue for the 2021-2022 school year. We consider our current families to be VIPS. As a VIP, if you complete enrollment by December 1, you will guarantee your child a spot in his/her classroom for next school year. Emails will be sent out this week to re-enroll your students for the 2021-2022 school year. Families who enroll before January 29, 2021, will receive a $100/child reduction in their registration fees! After January 29, 2021, the registration fee will be $200. So keep an eye out for your re-enrollment email soon! (Please note: If you have students who will be new to the school next school year, you will have to first fill out an application for admissions. You will find that option in your TADS account. You will only need to do this for new students, your current students will start at the enrollment step.) Please HERE for more information on enrollment for 2021-2022.
Aim Higher: We are pleased to announce the opening of the Aim Higher Foundation's 2021-22 scholarship application cycle! Families can now access the Aim Higher checkbox on the financial aid applications available in TADS. Please click HERE for application process.
Financial Aid Applications Available for 2020-2021: We are asking you to apply early for your Financial Aid for the 2020-2021 school year. More options for financial aid are available the earlier you apply. Please note, you are required to apply for AIM Higher to qualify for Financial Aid.
Referral Program: We are so thankful to the parents who have referred students to our school. With the help of that program, our school has increased enrollment by 33% (still growing), and have started to place students in a waiting pool for a number of classes. Our Referral Program was offered for a limited time, which we had already extended. We want to continue to reward the good marketers out there while maintaining a responsible budget. So effective immediately, the program will reward both the new student and the referring family a $250 credit towards tuition. (Same qualifying rules apply as in the original program.)
SCHULZE EARLY LEARNING SCHOLARSHIP: Preschool families, the Schulze Early Learning portal is now open for scholarship applications. We encourage you to apply for this very generous scholarship opportunity. If families have any questions about the program, please contact Marla Friederichs at 612-801-1431 or mjfriederichs@schulzefamilyfoundation.org. Please click HERE to learn more.
BOX TOPS FOR SAINT JOHN'S: Box Tops are little coupons found on everyday items such as: Ziploc bags, Betty Crocker frosting, Pillsbury rolls and General Mills cereal, to name a few. Each one of these coupons is worth ten cents. You and your child will be amazed how quickly those little coupons turn into dollars to help purchase books, materials, and equipment for our school! Please click HERE for details. You are welcome to contact school office with questions: 651-484-3038 or saintjohnschoolsjolc.org.
