Are you ready for an exciting time? The 2020 Saint John’s Marathon is an important and fun community event! This fundraiser is the only mandatory fundraiser for Saint John’s, and its success is a tremendous example of how Saint John’s families and staff pull together to accomplish amazing goals. The Marathon is also a celebration and a chance for people to come together. We have fun walking, running, or biking and enjoying food, fun, and entertainment! All funds remain here at Saint John’s and are used to offset the rising costs of providing a quality education. So, if you are asked, “Where does the money go?”
It truly goes to support every part of our mission.
When is the Marathon? Saturday, September 26
at 12:00 PM: We will gather at Saint John’s (baseball field, near the playground) beginning at 11:30 AM. Then we begin our walk, run or ride around Gervais Mill pond at 12:00 p.m (Social Distance). Everyone is welcome to join us!
How much money does the Marathon raise? Last year, the students, staff, and community brought in a total of $25,000 in pledges. This year, our goal will remain at $25,000. With hard work and prayer, we can accomplish this. If each student brings in $150 in pledges, we will meet our goal. (The required fundraising amount for Marathon is $135/student.)
Please send your checks/money with your child(ren) on Friday, September 25, 2020. If you or someone is writing a check: Saint John's School of Little Canada. Student(s) report collections to their teacher during the weeks prior to marathon for prizes.
.
How does the Marathon encourage students to achieve a personal goal? Throughout the weeks, students and classrooms will win prizes for participating in the Marathon. Students will receive a free dress pass for every $30 raised. Classes with the most dollars pledged will be rewarded with a FUN party
