Happy Easter to ALL! I hope this season is filled with blessings for our Saint John's community.
I would like to share an activity Mrs. Burgoyne shared with me and my family, which we started this weekend:
COVID-19 is a thing we are all a part of. We currently are living tomorrow's history. Our children are all a part of this, and it will be talked about for generations to come. On a GLOBAL level, schools are closed, sports are canceled, and people are quarantined.
An important thing your children can do during this time is to keep a journal. Handwritten or typed entries with photographs or drawings will record events, day-to-day activities, fears and feelings. Encourage them to make a video journal if that's the media they prefer to use. As parents, let them interview you so you are a part of it. When we move beyond this quarantine time, save their journals. Store them in a safe place for them to share with their children and grandchildren. Help them create a tangible, primary source of their own history.
Eagle Club
As we plan for summer, we are praying we will be able to offer Eagle Club. We understand times, days, and field trips may change, yet we need to see who is interested. Please check out the information here. Contact Tricia Kurschner if you have any questions.
