Even while we settle in to this steamy summer, be sure to take advantage of these "chill" events at Saint John's School of Little Canada. All are welcome, whether you are a registered family or not. Most are free and easy as 1-2-3.
1. Summer Movie Nights: 6:30-8:30 P.M. July 7, August 4, September 1
Be sure to bring a blanket and a friend to these laidback evenings of free popcorn, free water (and sometimes lemonade) and a free movie with the family. Most movies will be in the gym, due to lighting constraints, but the playground is also accessible for kids who just want to kickback with friends they haven't seen in weeks or months (supervision not included). Plus: Middle school youth group is available to kids in grades 5-8 at the same time, so there is something for the whole family.
July 7: Spies in Disguise
August 4:The Greatest Showman
September 1:Toy Story 4
2. Taste of Summer (Adults Only): 6:30-8:00 P.M. July 21
Take a break from the summer heat with a FREE frosty beverage (or a few). This beer and wine sampling is a great chance to get to meet our newly instated School Advisory Board, so get a sitter and get out to kick back and relax. We really hope to celebrate our community, so bring a friend!
3. Canadian Days Parade: Line-up at 10:30 A.M. August 1
Canadian Days is July 31 and August 1: We will be sponsoring the kiddie games from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Spooner Park at
Little Canada Days, and we're seeking volunteers. Contact Laura Haraldson if you're interested or able: [email protected]. Then be SURE to save the date of that Sunday for the Canadian Days Parade.
Every participant gets a free Spiritwear T-shirt. Parade line-up begins at 10:30 A.M. in the Saxon Lanes parking lot.
