I hope you and your family are enjoying the summer. I know I am already looking forward to the fall when we all return to Saint John’s! As I was watching the fireworks light up the sky on Sunday, I was reflecting on how our school was one of the few in the state to stay open for in-person instruction all year and how we did this working together as a community. I already can imagine the success we will build upon as our school will hopefully begin to resemble normal operations in the fall. In order to maintain best practices and safety for all, we will continue to monitor all updated recommendations from the CDC, Minnesota Department of Health and Archdiocese throughout the coming months and year.
Visitors/Volunteers:
We will be allowing visitors and volunteers on the campus in the upcoming school year and following standard (pre-covid) safety procedures and protocols. Visitors will not be required to wear a mask on campus. Visitors will be permitted for events (i.e. Open Houses, conferences).

Cleaning:
We will continue routine cleaning and disinfecting, as they are key to maintaining a safe environment for faculty, students, and staff. In addition, Virgil and Erick will continue to take a proactive clean and disinfection approach daily, following the CDC guidelines, regarding hygiene and proper cleaning procedures.

● Over 100.4 degrees
● Excessive Coughing
● Chills
● Repeating shaking with chills
● Severe Headache
● Sore throat

Did you know?
Saint John's will be offering Theater next year! We will work with Totino-Grace who will produce a musical. Past productions have included 'The Little Mermaid' and 'Seussical.' Totino-Grace Theater staff work frequently in the professional artistic and theatrical community as directors, designers and performers. We are excited to add this offering to our students. Please stay tuned for more information in August regarding sign-up and more information.

SPREAD THE WORD:
We are now offering a section of full year preschool. Registration is open! Returning parents please contact Kathy LaCasse if you would like to change your registration for the fall of 2021.
Please spread the word to your friends, neighbors, relatives, co-workers and throughout the community. New parents register HERE.
Mark your calendars for some fun at Saint John’s:
Summer Movie Nights: 6:30-8:30 P.M. July 7, August 4, September 1:
Be sure to bring a blanket and a friend to these laidback evenings of popcorn, water (and sometimes lemonade) and a movie with the family - all for free! Most movies will be in the gym, due to lighting constraints, but the playground is also accessible for kids who just want to kick back with friends they haven't seen in weeks or months (supervision not included). Plus: Middle School Youth Group is available to kids in grades 5-8 at the same time, so there is something for the whole family.

Taste of Summer (Adults Only): 6:30-8:00 P.M. July 21:
Take a break from the summer heat with a FREE frosty beverage (or a few). This beer and wine sampling is a great chance to visit with current and new families and friends from the community, and meet our newly instated School Advisory Board. Covid took away so many community opportunities for everyone, so get a sitter and join us for evening to get out, kick back, relax and share some laughs with everyone! We really hope to celebrate our community, so bring a friend!
