As we enter November and the holiday seasons, let's focus on family and gratitude. We have a lot to be grateful for here at Saint John's. I want to start out by thanking Mrs. Leciejewski, the 8th grade class and all the volunteers for hosting another very fun all school Halloween party. It made me smile to see all the kids in their costumes enjoying this highly anticipated annual tradition. I also want to share my gratitude for the All-Star Staff we have at Saint John's! I am thankful everyday for the opportunity to work with all of them, and I know your children are in good hands. We have a supportive pastor in Fr. Tom as well as amazing parents, parishioners, community, parish staff and our School Advisory Board. Most importantly, we have incredible students, who challenge themselves every day to learn and be engaged.
One of the best parts of Saint John's is that we never give up on any child. Our teachers are working daily to adjust for the individual needs of our students. Teachers meet in Professional Learning Communities bi-weekly to analyze student learning data with their colleagues. This is vital in making the best decisions for what our students need. During staff development days, our teachers are continuing these conversations and collaboration around student learning. Additionally, we also regularly talk about our students’ social/emotional needs as we believe in educating the whole child and work hard to have an environment in which all kids are successful. We pride ourselves each day in knowing what our students need, and then delivering the instruction that best fits those needs. At Saint John's, we will continue to ensure that every student is given the opportunity to reach their full potential! They are why we are here every day! ____________________________ PARENT CONFERENCES: Parent teacher conferences will be on November 11 and 16. The conferences are an opportunity for you to speak with your child’s teacher about their academic progress. Our goal is to have 100% of our parents attend parent teacher conferences. Do not miss this important opportunity to discuss your child’s overall performance and learn how you can assist your child at home. See links below for sign ups. (K-8 is set up in the gym. Preschool is in their classrooms).
