Welcome!
I could have never imagined what a beautifully nurturing and engaging environment Saint John's School of Little Canada was when I joined this team 18 years ago. I am surrounded by students and staff that infuse kindness into my every day, challenging me and making me strive to reach limits that I thought were impossible. I am appreciated, loved and accepted for who I am.
Professional Background:
I am a graduate of Oswego State University, with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I also have a master's degree from the University of Albany in Reading.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 20 years, Jeff, and my two wonderful children, Jaiden and Allenah. My daughter Allenah is a Saint Johns graduate and is a sophomore at Centennial. My son Jaiden is also Saint John's graduate and is a senior at Centennial. I love watching my son play football and fish, and love to watch my daughter swim and play volleyball. It is great entertainment.
When I get some time away from work and family, there is nothing like a good cup of coffee and a little shopping and/or gardening to go with it.
Education Philosophy:
I believe that all children are unique and must be surrounded in a learning environment that is stimulating, where they can grow emotionally, socially and mentally. It is my job as an educator to create an environment that allows my students to reach their fullest potential, and to feel safe and free to express thoughts, ideas, concerns and achievements.
