Welcome! Hello, my name is Maddy Maietta. This is my second year working at Saint John's, and I am thrilled to be in the second grade classroom this year. I am an alumna of St. John's and am happy to be back giving my skills to the school that helped form me. I have attended catholic schools my entire life: St. John's, Hill-Murray, and the College of St. Scholastica.
Professional Background: I am a 2021 graduate of St. Scholastica, with a bachelor's degree in biology. I am currently enrolled in a graduate teaching licensure and master's program through the College of St. Scholastica for Elementary Education. I am looking forward to the experience and learning that I will gain working at St. John's, an environment which is passionate about learning.
Education Philosophy: I believe that learning is a lifelong journey. It is important to build a foundation for learning at a young age for this to be reflective across the whole life span. I strive for a positive and welcoming classroom environment, where students feel comfortable to ask questions so that they may grow into independent and critical thinkers for their lifelong learning journeys.
