Tani Riel

Hello!
I am so fortunate to be a part of the St John's community, where everyone is inviting, encouraging, and ready to help. What a wonderful place to start your child's educational journey, and an amazing place to continue it!

Professional Background:
I am a graduate of the University of MN and began my career in education about 30 years ago. As the preschool coordinator, I am blessed to be working with all of our preschool families and teachers. I also truly enjoy working with our Eagle Club families and staff as the Eagle Club Coordinator.
When I'm not at St John's, I enjoy spending time with my husband, and playing music. Our two daughters have both graduated from college and are enjoying their careers, one in Tulsa, OK and the other in Rochester, MN. We all love to spend as much time as possible together at our cabin in northern Wisconsin, snowmobiling in the winter and being on the water in the summer. There is nothing better than watching the sunsets from the dock after a long day of activities.

Educational Philosophy:
I always try to remember that every moment is a teachable moment. No one is ever too old to learn something new, and children are great reminders of that through their curiousity and eagerness to learn. I look forward to working with our children, teachers and families to help create and continue a passion for learning with all ages.
